The 16th Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka – Maldives Business Council

The 16th Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka – Maldives Business Council was held on the 8^th of August 2024, at Courtyard by Marriott, Colombo. His Excellency, Masood Imad, High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives in Sri Lanka, graced the event as the Chief guest, and Professor Raj Somadeva

Senior Professor of Postgraduate Institute of Archaeology attended as a guest speaker for the evening.

Mr. Sudesh Mendis, Managing Director, Ocean Trade Logistics (Pvt) Ltd was re-elected by the Members as the President for the year 2024-2025. Mr. Suranga Ratnayake, Chief Operating Officer of Aitken Spence Travels (Pvt) Ltd, and Mr. Sanjeewa Perera, Head of Commercial Real Estate Finance for Sri Lanka & Maldives, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited were elected as Vice Presidents. The Member Companies, American Water Systems (Pvt) Ltd, APIIT Lanka Pvt Ltd, CDC Events and Travels (Pvt) Ltd, Kelani Cables PLC, Lanka Exhibition & Conference Services (Pvt) Ltd, MAC Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, Marine Transport Services (Pvt) Ltd, Nestle Lanka PLC, Puritas Ltd, Spillburg Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, St. Anthony’s Industries Group (Pvt) Ltd were elected to the Committee.

The outgoing President, Mr. Kevin Edwards, Chief Executive Officer of E.B. Creasy and Company PLC will continue on the Committee as the Immediate Past President.
