CSR PROJECT IN MALDIVES FARESMAATHODA ISLAND – 14th to 16th January 2025

The Sri Lanka Maldives Business Council successfully completed its first CSR project on Faresmaathoda Island in the Maldives, located 445 km from Male City. This marks the first time a Sri Lankan Council has undertaken a CSR project of this scale in another country.

During the project, we provided eye and hearing tests to over 500 islanders and distributed more than 400 pairs of spectacles and 5 hearing aids. The islanders extended a warm welcome, and many even traveled from neighboring islands to participate. The project received widespread coverage in Maldivian media and generated significant attention on social media.
